Cube/Brique announcement email

    Hello everyone,

    I'm very happy to announcement that last week during the FFDN AG the
    work needed to make the internet cube/brique ready for shipping has
    finally be done thanks to people from LDN, YUNOHOST, Neutrinet and
    probably other ISP.

    For those of you who don't know what the internet cube is an
    out-of-the-box working self hosting server based on an olimex board
    [1], YUNOHOST [2] and debian plugged on Neutrinet VPN to gave it the
    same IP address from wherever you launch it. It can be summarised by
    "a freedombox with many more things like a VPN gateway wifi hotspot
    (and same for Tor)".

    In another word, it's you own server at home that will just work where
    you'll be able to handle your emails, website, other applications [3]
    with a easy to use web interface (and you won't have to use a shell),
    it's self hosting "for the mass" and much more. You can find more

    And after many month of work, we are finally ready to start shipping it.

    At **this Thursday** 21th of may meeting we'll do a more detailed
    presentation of the cube with demonstration of working boards and
    we'll answer to your questions.

    We'll also start a group command for the people interested in
    acquiring the needed hardware [4]. If you already have the hardware,
    you can bring your SD card and I'll do the installation for you
    (probably not during the meeting), if there is too much installation
    to do, we might switch to an install party.

    Please note that this product is still young and won't come free of
    bugs (but our current running prototype are very stable).

    It is also very likely that this will the occasion for us to launch
    our subscription campaign: we need to reach 30 VPN subscription from
    paying members to be able to cover the fee for our new server. This
    will allow us to provide you with way better quality service,
    availability and stable bandwidth. We are a bit more than 10 for now.

    Remember than Neutrinet, like any free software project, is done by
    his members for his members and we are always looking for more people
    to join, the more people, the more fun :) Technical skills are
    absolutely NOT required.

    how we split the shipment cost, you can find the hardware list here

    configuration for you (except if you want to do it yourself) and we'll
    send you the hardware bill and you'll be free to top up with how much
    you think this service is worth in regards of your means. After that,
    you'll need a VPN subscription (free price with a minimum of 8€/month).
